A community-first nonprofit dedicated to mental health, belonging, and the transformative power of play.
To support mental health, socialization, and psychological safety through online gaming, with a focus on building community and providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
We believe that gaming, when done right, is one of the most powerful tools for human connection. It teaches teamwork, resilience, creativity, and empathy. We're here to make sure everyone has access to that experience, without barriers or judgment.
From first-time players to lifelong gamers, the Inclusive Gaming Alliance is a place where every person, regardless of background, ability, or experience, is welcomed, supported, and celebrated.
Three core commitments that guide every program, session, and conversation we facilitate.
To provide a space for all individuals, welcoming participants of all ages (5 to 105), to connect and socialize through online gaming in a structured, supportive environment.
To reduce social isolation and improve overall well-being for participants by creating a supportive, inclusive community where no one has to face their struggles alone.
To promote awareness and understanding of mental health conditions and reduce stigma through education and open, nonjudgmental discussion within the group.
Our pilot program includes three distinct pathways, each designed to meet participants where they are and give them what they need to thrive.
Designed to help those who want to get into gaming but may face obstacles such as lack of access or financial constraints. We provide equipment, guidance, and a welcoming on-ramp into the gaming world.
Safe spaces for individuals to come together and play games. We provide a forum for sharing experiences, discussing gaming topics, and building community, facilitated by trained moderators equipped to lead structured, nonjudgmental conversations.
Programs that expand our services to meet the broader needs of the gaming community and their support network, such as educational programs for family members and supporters who want to help make gaming a positive experience for everyone involved.
Everything participants, supporters, and partners want to know about IGA.
Yes, all IGA sessions are facilitated by trained moderators. We maintain a strict supervisor-to-participant ratio to ensure every session is safe, structured, and well-managed. Pre-registration is required for all sessions. This allows us to plan staffing in advance and ensure we never exceed safe group sizes. Walk-ins are not accepted.
Our moderators are trained to recognize and immediately address toxic behavior, conflict, or any situation that makes a participant feel unsafe.
Our programs are open to individuals of all ages, 5 to 105. Whether you are just starting out or have been gaming for decades, the Inclusive Gaming Alliance has a place for you. All of our sessions welcome participants regardless of age, background, or experience level.
We focus on community-friendly games that encourage cooperation and positive interaction. Titles like Minecraft, Among Us, and Roblox are good examples of the kinds of games that fit our format. Specific game selections vary by session type and are always communicated in advance during registration, so participants can make fully informed decisions.
We do not host sessions featuring games with mature (M-rated) content.
Yes, participation in IGA sessions is always free of charge. We are a nonprofit organization funded entirely by donations. If you'd like to help us continue offering free programming to our community, you're welcome to donate via Zeffy. 100% of your contribution goes directly to the cause.
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. Here's what we have in place at every session:
Not necessarily. Our Structured Program pathway is specifically designed for individuals who face barriers such as lack of access to gaming equipment or financial constraints. Reach out to us to discuss your situation. We'll work with you to find a solution so that access is never a barrier to participation.
That's perfectly fine. Beginners are absolutely welcome! Our sessions are designed to be inclusive and supportive of all experience levels, from complete newcomers to experienced players. Our moderators are trained to make every participant feel comfortable and included, regardless of background or skill level.
